It just plays Megadrive games. They have the roms at those websites and they're already in .bin format. They come in zip files that you'll need to extract (w/ Winrar or something similar). Also the roms have " region codes"- (U) is for US, (J)- Japan, (E)- Europe, (W)- World. Also from what I know, any roms with "!" are the final versions that work the best. Thanks for the information neogenesis, you guys are the best, this forum rocks :-)

Andy, everything is installed already. copy the zip file roms for CPS1 & 2 into the NEOGEO folder, ignore the CPS1 & 2 Folders they are redundant. I mean the reset button. You are in for a treat Andy the CPS roms work perfect. Example, final fight for mame is slow as hell but the CPS rom works perfect. I have 700 snes roms working great. I believe the game gadget has an official linux kernel. I was very impressed with my game gadget, only problem is i cannot get TV out to work.
Select retro then NEOGEO, then play your CPS roms. Im just playing Punisher now, arcade perfect. Andy please press select after the main screen appears with the icons and tell me what version you have, mines says 0.95 thanks Legacy just to let you know I've checked the version of my GG and its 1.01,don't know if this makes any diffrence.i haven't tried downloading the firmware again as my laptop dongles out of money.lol. But I've checked what emulators are there and its only Atari 2600 NES snes gameboy master system and megadrive.i even looked in the files section and the only thing there is in the internal folder something called SegaDDV1 which I assume is an emulator.is it this folder that the other emulators would appear?

Could you zip your sd card into a rar file and pm a download. Or upload the mame4all plugin folder as this may be an update.

Hi andy, when i got my gamegadget it always asked to be activated when switched on, so i needed the 0.95 firmware download. You have a different version, so im wondering if mame is updated
when you open your game gadget please copy mame 4 all and upload and and send me a download link through pm, im keen to know what has changed.
I have just plugged my gamegadget in on usb no sd card present and the main folder is 256mb with one xml file only.

Mine never was activated,I followed the instructions in the box but the link to download the GG app on the computer and register the GG on gamegadget.net was gone.so I PM FunStock to see if you still needed to do this anymore and they said no (link to register has be took down)so I've just been using it as is.i followed the link on FunStock from my phone (no Internet time) to here: www.mediafire.com/?98bjjclz08ucxsn which is the open source Firmware download that I think you was on about.im assuming this is the one that contains the other emulators.whats mame4all??also when I plug the GG into the laptop and open it there is just 1 file and it's just a load of random looking text, any ideas what this is?

Thats the same as me andy.
an xml file. Well once you create your SD card and copy the 0.95 sandbox over. You will be able to play all your cps 1 and 2 roms, make sure you copy the zip files into the neogeo folders not the cps1 and 2 folders.
Start a new thread for the gamegadget
regards

They are rare but not worth that much in a million years. The pal one only had 5000 total released. Boxed complete go for 300 upwards I sold mine for £350. And the loose pal units £125 upwards depends on demand. I have no idea about the cdx version in terms of numbers released it probably would be rarer in the USA due the hatred for the Sega cd. But I hope that helps price wise with some idea if you are planning on selling it. If not a have a complete mega cd collection if you are after any of the games I can do you a back up copy . For the price of the postage and cd. As none of them have copy protection. .
