Welp, I checked out the original torrent link for the romset I use (which so far is hugely reliable) but the site I originally got it from no longer exists. Having a functional romset, it theoretially would be MUCH easier if I just uploaded what's on my card as they're all converted and have Unibios, so fellow users can also enjoy hassle free. But here's the other thing; simply uploading and posting direct links is a fast way to get, how shall we say, unwanted attention directed at either the user, or the site itself! Which as mods, we can't let happen.
This is what makes trying to be helpful to an open source device such a fiddly thing sometimes! That said, as we've done in other threads, if other users have a link to a TORRENT, (not a direct link, nor hosted download) posting those is okay to help out. Try the emuparadise link I left in the compiled info thread, they've got NeoGeo rom access there. You can cherry pick titles that are giving you trouble.
Of course with an already existing torrent link in the Jailbreak compiled info thread, I think what we really need is an in depth tutorial of converting and adding Unibios if it's not there already.

I understand what you are saying. Would be nice though. Also, is it normal for some games to crash when you are loading credits or in the middle of playing? Or scrolling through the games and the NGX just slow down like crazy and not load the icons? All I want to do is play the NeoGeo shmups and some fighting games! lol

The slowdown at the start of Neo-Geo games is a known issue (on firmware 345). The people responsible for the jailbreak firmware, hopefully will take care of it in a future update. This is what I do... start the game, after you get the jerky slowdown, reset back to the menu. Reload the same game, now you should not experience the slowdown at all.

What about the freezing or crashing in the middle of game Play? It happens with every game. I play it for like 2 to 5 Minutes and then it crashes. It seems like I have one problem after another...

I would just enjoy the other 36 games for now and wait for jailbreak to be updated. That's what I'm doing.

Most games will continue to run after loading (even when you remove the SD card from the unit), games that could freeze or crash after removing the SD card are large games like SVC Chaos or Garou, if your micro SD card is not making good contact with the adapter then large games like this could crash or freeze just from your hand rubbing the SD card in the slot. A game like Fatal Fury 2 will continue to run even if you remove the card (small games are run off internal memory while large games are run off the card), if a small game like Fatal Fury 2 is crashing 5 minutes in then there is something wrong with your internal memory on the handheld itself. If only the large games are crashing then it is a contact issue with your micro SD (I recommend keeping the black vinyl sticker on the micro SD card, or find a different micro SD that makes better contact as the cheap makers make cards too thin for micro SD adapters).

Could a bad jailbreak cause this kind of error? Is there anyone else experiencing this? I feel like I'm alone on this since I don't see a lot of threads on this or on the Facebook page for the jailbreak team. All I got to say is I appreciate all the help from everyone on this forum. This is the closest thing to a neo geo I will ever own lol. A real AES is financialy out of the question.

You're not using a 32GB card are you? Reports are coming in that the Neo-Geo X only supports up to 16GB. People report missing icons, games crashing 5 minutes in etc when using cards larger than 16GB.

Hmmmm, re-jailbreak her perhaps... bad jailbreak? The games should run fine after launching (they are run off the internal memory). Launch Blazing Star and remove the gamecard after it loads... it should continue to run.

Okay folks... I just realized that the Neo-Geo X jailbreak firmware is NOT loading the ROMs onto the internal memory (like it does with firmware 337/370), this could be the reason behind the slowdown on the jailbreak firmware. As for KrazyWhiteGuy, this COULD BE a contact issue (the micro SD is not keeping contact with the SD adapter), you may need to try more than one sticker on top of the micro SD (you can also apply light pressure to the bottom of the card -with no micro SD inside- to re-condition the pins "up" to make better contact with the micro SD). If you are still having issues, ship the ProCard back to me and I will get a replacement out to you ASAP.

Someone else was saying that having spaces in the ROM names can cause crashes... (example: Blazing Star.mvs would crash whereas BlazingStar.mvs would run great)

I will do all of your suggestions. Hopefully I see some sort of relief. All my roms don't have spaces. Blazing Star I believe is named blazstar.MVS on my card. Wish I never updated to 500a! Update: I reinstalled 500a then updated the jailbreak to the 0.3-45 firmware..it seems like it relieved some issues but NG roms still are crashing even with vinyl stickers. The funny thing is that I can sometimes play some CPS1/2 roms just fine without crashing. I played Mega Man Power Battle for 15 minutes without crashing and played Armored Warrior for 15 also. It's like Neogeo emulation is broken.

So here is a big update to this entire issue.
With my first NGX I had a 370 that I updated to 500a then jailbroke with a Procard. As you see in this thread I had several issues.
My first thoughts were its the procard being faulty. But omgngx said that it couldn't be but said I was able to exchange. Come to find out the card was fine. So I exchanged my unit.
Now I had a new unit with 370 only after being left with a bad taste of the jailbreak fw. So wwith a new Card in hand and unit o thought for sure it would work. Well after a week or so of going back n forth with omgngx to fix the issue we agreed to exchange again thinking the card was damaged on shipping or the unit was faulty even though it read ninja Master.
So I first exchanged my unit since it was faster to do through Amazon. I am now on my 3rd unit and I still had my 2nd procard. Tested it and bam. It worked. First try and every other after that.
So in all I had 2 faulty units out of 3.
All I gotta say is that I have a new love for my NGX. And OMGNGX was very helpful. Never once backed away from the issue! Excellent user!
