Wow! This doesn't sound good. I wonder what's going on. Does this mean SNK is going to take over the distribution of NGX products, or are they just going to stop supporting it altogether? This doesn't make any sense.

I guess they weren't selling good enough. The article said that Tommo should remove the arcade sticks from stores and online retailers. I guess that means the arcade sticks are gonna demand a higher price on eBay soon.

Oh yeah, what it means is that Tommo Inc. must stop selling all NGX systems and related accessories (games, sticks, etc). I don't think SNk Playmore was particularly fond of how Tommo was handling their intellectual properties so they decided to pull the plug. This means out NGX systems, accessories and games are now collectibles. IMHO, I think SNK Playmore is planning to release something...who knows, maybe something even better hardware and software wise. Let's cross our fingers here... That would be amazing and the only thing that might make any sense. Hopefully we hear more tomorrow.

Well that's ruined my morning.im guessing that puts a stop to any more games or updates unless SNK Playmore decide to continue supporting the console, can see it myself.how am I going to experience the best of NEO GEO now unless I start downloading roms.

What a bunch of jive assery. But really, Tommo could have done a better job with this product. They have had serious quality control issues from the start and haven't shown much improvement. The Neogeo X looks nice in its design but goes way downhill as soon as you play it and hold its controllers. I regret the purchase a little more each day and still get agitated over the arduous process of going through Tommo's customer service for a 500a firmware fix. I guess this means there will be no screen tearing fix in the future either. A BIG disappointment.

Actually this could be the best thing to happen to the NGX, the community (if we have one) can take over from here, and we'll have to find our own ways of playing more games, improving output and firmware, if this happens or not is another matter.

Wow, not exactly the news I expected to read this morning. Well, I'm still happy I own one, because now you just KNOW prices on em are just gonna go up, and I like owning obscure collectibles, which this will now very likely become. I'm even happier that I chose not to carry out the update on mine, still leaving it nice and flexible for games.

I do agree with you that I'm still happy that I own a NGX. I'm gonna get a Mega Pack and an extra arcade stick before people start overpricing them online.
