I noticed that the LCD image quality of the 370 and 337 firmware's differ slightly. It is much more evident when seen in person but here is e a firmware 370 NGX above a 337 model. The 370 firmware's display is sharper. but it is also much more grainy/starchy... the 337 NGX seems to have more smoothing going on and the colors are also more vibrant and truer to a real MVS than on the 370 model. I think the 337 NGX's image quality looks much better overall. Not sure what differences exist for composite or HDMI out yet...

Very interesting...although I think the 370 looks way better looking at those pics.

Very interesting...although I think the 370 looks way better looking at those pics. You really gotta see them in person I guess. I would say that the 370 looks better from those pics as well, but I know better... the 370 is so grainy looking in person and the colors and edges look much nicer on the 337. As for the 500... I refuse to flash the 500 to my 370 as having 50 games on a hacked SD card is much more convenient (plus then I can customize it with 50 MVS games that I actually own).

My Mega Pack is coming tomorrow and I don't wanna upgrade cause composite out is worse but I'd love to be able to save my games...decisions, decisions.

I wanna save too, but I think I like the idea of it more than I really have a genuine need to save. I have real neo-geo memory cards and very seldom do I ever use them... so I think I'll just do without for now. You can still wire up an internal micro sd on the 370s and get the modified 337 firmware working that way. Incredible HDMI out on modified 337.

I'm facing a similar decision. My Mega Pack is waiting for me to pick it up (which I'm going to when the post opens tomorrow morning) And I really want the better sound, and I use the save function ALL the time on my AES memory cards, so I know I'd truly use this feature. But... the access to the games I'm giving up.. not so sure I'm ready to do that! I really hope the hackers are working away at bypassing it! Because ideally, I'd have both! Having cake and eating it too, I know. But.. eh. We'll see.

With something that sells much bigger like the PSP, I rest assured that there will be enough interest and demand for hacks and mods... but unfortunately I get the feeling that all of those who might have initially held an interest in hacking the software on the NGX have already lost that interest amongst all the hate this little device has received in the last 6 months. Ppl who made huge strides in software changes (like ack) at the system's initial release stated that they were officially done with the NGX.

I agree with that, then again the French NGX scene is still very active and I expect any future developments to come from France.

So I've seen! And what I'm banking on for exactly those reasons. I saw on one of the French sites has already taken apart the Rocket Cable, so I have hopes!
