Agreed. Fair review. I love the NGX, warts and all. Hopefully the firmware update will fix some of the (minor) issues.

The thing i find most worrying about this is that when talking about the firmware update it states he was told it fixes some screen and resolution issues on 'some' screens??
So not all of them then??
Well this units fate and tommo's will be sealed or continued on the strength of that firmware update so i hope to god they have fixed it properly.

I figure the use of the word 'some' is simply to cover the fact they are unable to test it with every screen available. The NeoGeo X's strength will come from the feedback we give as users and how Tommo react. At present they are slow at delivering things but they do seem to deliver. Our support will keep the NeoGeo X alive.

Well yes you could adopt that viewpoint if you wish but if something has been altered in the firmware then it wont matter what screen you use it on it will do what its been programmed to do, Firmware or any running platform doesn't recognise or alter its operation depending on its connection, The operation is pre-set that's the entire point of its existence its a program.
It either works or it doesn't, i appreciate what your saying but that still makes me apprehensive about what will be fixed.
I hope it does all work out but i dont see any reason for anybody supporting it further if it isnt, Customers have been patient for tool long already, I mean what happened to the funstock employee flouting as " The retro games master " what happened to the steady flow of supposed leaked update videos??
They seem to of stopped at the point upon where they would show us some actual difference.
