Tis! I haven't been on here in months, not since my NGX battery decided to swell up and require removal! As it goes, I was waiting for the Retron 5 to make an appearance in the UK, and in the end got so pissed off with Hyperkins ineptitude I cancelled the preorder, got my money back and bought an Asian Megadrive and a US Snes. The Snes got damage din transit (gutted) but it still works. Got the insurance money back form the courier so essentially got it for free! With that recouped dosh, I've just ordered a boxed Super Famicom so my collection is now far more impressive than if I'd stuck with the Retron. Good times!

That's cool. Getting new systems is always fun. I got a Dreamcast about a month ago and I have 6 games for it so far. Looking forward to getting more soon. I'm also making my Ouya my "Neo Geo machine". I tried out the NGX stick with Neo.emu and it works great. I still use my NGX as a handheld of course.

I'm still on the fence about the Retron5. They're readily available, here. Honestly, I -do- want one, but the reason I want it most isn't for play, it's to copy all of my savegames from my old RPGs who's cart batteries are near death to the system. Then I can replace the batteries, re-write my old saves to freshly re-battery'd carts, and continue enjoying it OG.

Who is responsible for this forum? I don't know what others think, but maybe its time to open the forum up as a general retro gaming forum and try and retain the members and invite back those who have left if a mailing list can be compiled. It would be a shame to let this site fizzle out just because of SNK's stupidity. If possible, I recommend changing the forum name or something, banner graphic etc.

SNK started this site. Danthor and I are the only 2 active mods. Hemlock was the 3rd but he hasn't been here in a long time.

I think that is a great idea - I must say yhere are quite a few retro threads anyway so am not sure whether official permission is required (unless you are hoping to alter the title of the boards?
Completely agree that it would be good to keep life here post NGX.

You can't have too many retro gaming forums to peruse! Personally I'm most active over at Jamma+ - a UK forum primarily for arcade collectors but with a solid and knowledgable console gaming community as well. I'd like to see more going on here though, I like coming here. It's like going into a darkened room when you have a headache

Same. I still stop in pretty regularly, but there's never much activity. I would be all for drawing more participation in!
