Hi! Is it possible to see in advance which firmware update I going to install with the mega pack card?

Hmmm, I don't think you'll be able to know until you actually do the update.

It's because I mainly want to use the NGX with a CRT. At the moment (with firmware 370) it is fine - but I read with 500 it is pretty bad.
If I may ask another question: Do I need firmware 500a in order to get the best jailbreak? Or is the result after the jailbreak always the same?

I did hear that v500 could be bad for CRT use. I have v500, but I use HDMI and that does the job for me.
I've never done the jailbreak, but from what I know- it's better to updgrade first then do the jailbreak, though you can still do the jaibreak without updating. I may be wrong. Hopefully someone who uses jaibreak will be able to clarify this for you.

Jailbreak is the same regardless of what version you start with.
500a is the best firmware in my opinion. Shakiness on CRT was fixed in this version over 500.

As repeated many times in this forum. 500 firmware is broken for UK users. Screen out of alignment in ntsc and pal mode on composite out and very blurry and fuzzy.
These issues where fixed in 500a firmware which is used with the current jailbreak.
