Hey gang --
I was just curious if anyone has played through the Japanese version of Faselei while being an English only reader. I really want to play this game, however I'm nervous that I'll be unhappy with the Japanese version. I imagine that I would be able to play the strategy portions, however I assume that I will be let down by not understanding the dialogue/storyline elements.
Any suggestions?

Yeah, play it on an emulator. Once you're confident with the game mechanics, then get it. I got to a point where you have to equip your robot thingy and got stuck, so I'll play that section though on an emulator then return to the Japanese version. Most of the Japanese is dialogue which once you've read it in English, you don't need to read it again, I just skip thru it anyway.
Then again, for only 5 quid, it didn't bother me if I could play it or not tbh.
