This may have been asked before.
Question is, are you folks happy with your Neogeo X, including folks who have the real AES, MVS cabs etc.
Apart from the odd tearing, im loving the experience and playing the snk games on other consoles, handhelds, like PSP. Dingoo etc. Does not cut it for me.
I know the X has been degraded by some. It rocks with the new jailbreak, capcom games are winners for sure.
Also folks let not forget composite out was broken on firmware 500 and was fixed in 500a firmware and the jailbreak.
Your Thoughts Please?

Even though I'm disappointed with the way SNK Playmore handled this product, I'm pretty happy with mine. My biggest complaint is the quality of the composite video out.

Since the jailbreak came out and i was so lucky to get the vga scanline converter i'm so happy to own the ngx.now i have the wet dream of my childhood in my hands and can teach my kid whats more important than good graphics....fun and a lot of wonderfull ideas in gameplay and it's sad to say but i give a f**** about tommo and snk.they ignored the fan's who spend a lot of money for a unfinished system and let us till today stay in the rain...i really tried to support both of em,but i wont do it in the future!

Right legacy.on normal output hdmi is the pain in the a**.but with a converter it is the non plus ultra Right now you cant buy it.It's still beta-versions.but i can say after more than a week its the best way to use the ngx on modern tv's.

I own real MVS cabs (both japanese candy and american big red) and have no major complaints about the factory firmware's emulation of the Neo-Geo... it's the best option for a portable Neo-Geo (as much as people say that the PSP emulates Neo better, the PSP is only 333mhz & the X is a much more capable emulator). So, yes I am very happy with the NGX. I have to say that the hardware is rather solid as well, since I have four of these, the unit I carry around with me is heavily abused (thrown into a backpack with no case, in my pocket with keys, dropped from 4 feet etc). I treat it how a 5 year old would treat a gameboy (like a toy), and I must admit that it has survived alot of abuse and still works like a champ!

All the videos i made doesnt show the real look a like^^ i think my cam sucks. As soon as i find a way to show the real graphics i will post it,but i'm afraid to post a vid that doesnt show why am i so happy with that solution and let the converter doesnt show in the good light that it deserves to be

Omg, i have seen a youtube video of a compare with the psp and the neogeo x. The guy clearing states he prefers the crisp look of the neogeo x over the psp, with the quality.
Also XxSwatsoN, whats the sound like on the adapter.

The color is not so nice and theres no scanlines and vsync.but it will do it if you can live with that. I like the even/odd option also and i find the output much better as without the converter.the sound is on both solutions nice.but for 7£ you cant do anything wrong!

Maybe Pal video out has proper picture quality? Because over Ntsc the picture really dark and red. I have to turn the color down and brightness up to make it halfway decent.

Growing up I never had an AES so I never got to know the joy of that. But! I did however play MVS cabs at my local arcade (it's where I fell in love with Blazing Star) and B&G Club (discovered the amazing Metal Slug X). Since then I always wanted NeoGeo and now I have the closest thing to a legit neogeo. Regardless who made it or that its a fancy emulator it had SNKs seal of approval so it's a legitimate item and not a cheap Chinese item. There are a few things I would change about the NGX, support being the biggest one. All in all I love it. And yeah you can play neo geo on Psp or any other devices that allow homebrew but it's not the same to play it on a foreign device. End monologue lol
