Hey guys. I know that when I was looking for a slimline NGPC, I was super confused! I figured you other collector's may enjoy learning about them! How to tell the difference online?
NGPC has block letter for the word COLOR while the NGPCS has more script lettering. What's the size difference? Not much, actually. It is smaller and you can definitely feel the difference. It is not anywhere near as significant as a Gameboy to a Gameboy Pocket or a DS to a DS Lite. Can you show me a comparison?
I sure can! Below are some photos!

(Feet showing - LOL!)
2bh, I didn't know about the slimline until I joined here, my original one was a blue 'anthracite' colour. I notice as well as the fancy script 'color', there are no recessed lines down the sides and a recessed screen.
I've just checked the one I'm collecting soon and it's got those features, so it must be a slimline too - cool!

Does anyone know if the slimlines can be used for the toplight mod? I'm planning on offering toplit NGPCs and have no idea if the slims even have enough room for the mod.

I do not believe they do unless you remove the link cable port, but I could be wrong. It's a tighter device shell, but the toplight might fit.
If you want one to test on, I'd be happy to volunteer. ^.~
