So, I have come to you all for advice...
I am repairing a NGPC Slimline that I received from China, and while I have it taken apart, I'm going to repaint it.
The problem is... I CAN'T CHOOSE WHAT COLOR TO PAINT IT.
Any suggestions?

Paint red. Add white stripes and logos like the MVS cabinets, sample colour/styles: images.marketworks.com/hi/60/60416/neogeomvskit2.jpgMaybe design a template on computer and get it professionally printed on to something that can be coated for protection. Or black?

Cool. I've heard of the slimline though I've never seen one. I've always liked black for systems, that might be a bit boring though. haha.

My lady-friend insisted I go for something crazy if I'm modding it, so we'll see how my purple slimline turns out!
I'll post photos tomorrow. =)

So I was finally able to paint my NGPC. Before photos: I used cheap Kryon Purple spraypaint and a standard lacquer. Prior to painting, the unit was completely disassembled, scrubbed, sanded, and washed. I applied two coats of paint with two hour increments in between and two coats of lacquer with two hours in between. Overall, I'm quite happy with how it turned out. I also swapped the buttons out for a different Neo I own so it didn't look as odd on the purple body. It turned out nice and smooth, and it's quite nice to hold (although that could just be me loving the Slimline form factor). When I paint the next time, I think I'll take more days out to process the paint job. I would want to sand again between each coat to create a smoother finish. I also protect the battery compartments more and only do a single coat on the battery doors. With the added body from the paint, they were a little sticky to put back into the device and are the only parts of my paint job that chipped.

Once it was dry, I left it to sit on a stack of art pieces on our table. The top piece in the top frame is a commission of my favorite pokemon and my device matches it now. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Subconscious, you are quite weird.
