I've been dreaming about being able to use a pro card on my v500. I hope it does happen.

Hi guys, i need a precious info. My neogeo X is 370 version. I bought rocket cable and the sd modded adaptor on ufo's site. I want to upgrade my 370 to 500 but don't wont buy the megapack collection. I've found online the 500 firmware file (Sys_update_file - 216 MB zipped), can I do the upgrade with my items? Is the procedure same as the jailbreak described in first post? Thanks In advance!!

please note its only 500 firmware not 500a, extract the rar and burn the image on to micro sd card, then flash your X.

500 firmware is a no go for UK users. Pal mode is out of screen alignment composite out. 500a fixes this.

Hi Guys,
New to the Forum but have been reading up and messing with my NGX for some time.
I have the Jailbroken firmware V0.3-45-G775E600
I'm having a weird issue where all roms (and images) that are placed in the folders appear when selecting the rom.
i.e. KOF95.mvs KOF95.png etc.
This happens for all roms I try to add for any console CPS/NG etc.
Am I doing something wrong?
p.s. If anyone can help me out with compiling a working set of NG roms (which of course I already own legitimately), I'm really struggling to find any.
Cheers

If you go to the Neo Geo X jailbreak Facebook page you can download an SD card structure with rom pre-installed. This requires an SD card of more than 2gb. But you can do it like i did and just transfer the roms you want. Some will still not work though b/c they're just not compatible with the NGX yet.

Long time listener, first time caller.
Got my X a couple of weeks ago, along with the 15 game Mega Collection and Rocket Cable and it came with f/w 500a pre installed. I've got half a dozen micro and standard size SD cards of various sizes and read/write speeds and I can't for the life of me get the machine to take the jailbreak, every time I try I'm getting the ''Card Read Fault'' error and I've now accepted defeat as I've seen that same screen at least 30 times, maybe more.
Is there anyone out there who has done this before who is willing to flash mine for me if I bang it in the post? If there is, please let me know. I'm UK based.
MODS/ADMIN: If this kind of request is not allowed, please delete and I apologize in advance.

I'm curious which Playstation games people have managed to get working. I haven't gotten too far into 2600, NES, or Master System, but everything that I have tried on SNES and Genesis and CPS1/CPS2 has worked and most stuff for GBA has worked. I do have a couple Neo games I still need to fix, but I think that's just a matter of getting the right romset not a compatibility issue (except the known issues like sound in Aero Fighters).
Playstation however is much more of a crap shoot. For example, Medal of Honor works to a point in the first stage, then there is just no more of the level displayed and you're stuck. I'm assuming that could be a RAM issue.
In the Hunt works 100%, which is awesome, a great addition to the Metal Slug lineup. Much, much harder.
I've been playing Grand Theft Auto 2, which seems to work completely so far.
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 works, it has been years since I would have played it on actual hardware, it seems a bit jumpier but that might just be my poor memory. It is playable.
I've been trying like hell to get DoDonPachi working but it hangs up on the white 'please wait' screen. Seems like people trying to emulate it on PSP had similar problems but managed a way around it.
If anyone has any game suggestions for great games that work or tips or tricks to get things to work, let's hear them.

The PS1 games I tried to get working were very few, (Doom, Final Doom, Duke Nukem, Final Fantasy 7, Legend of Mana) but none of them worked. They'd boot, but would hang either at the title scren, or anytime just before the title screen, requiring a power off. Not the most useful post, but that's my experience with PS1-ing on this!

Hello all. Thanks in advance for all the great information this board has! I am new to the neo geo X platform, and have recently jailbroke it thanks to a card from OMG (who rocks!). My question is probably a newbie one, but I could not find information on how to load/program an SD card with the emulator and roms for that emulator (Atari for example) in any of the threads. Can anyone point to a resource for a newbie like me to load an SD card with emulator and roms? I have the roms for SNES, Genesis and Atari, but lack the knowledge on how to get them onto a card that will play on the jailbreak v0.3-45-G775E600 OS version.
Thank you!
