Now that the NGX is fully jailbroken, anyone with a version 337 firmware can theoretically upgrade their NGXs with a larger micro SD card thus increasing the specs of the unit to 4GB or even 8GB of internal NAND - more than enough space to have the entire NEO-GEO game collection on the first internal menu instead of the stock 20. For those like me who really only care about the NEO-GEO games on their NGX this would be a dream come true... all internal. Use the external SD cards for other systems/emulators and have nothing but NEO-GEO built in... mmmmmmm I also know for a fact that if you get a fast micro SD card in there your system will load big games like SVC Chaos (one of the games I replaced on my internal menu) in 1.5 seconds flat.

I like the idea, but if I cracked open my new NGX when it comes, my wife would literally beat me to death with a frying pan. Surely, it's better to put a SD card into the slot than dismantle a precious NGX? After all, it is an endangered species now. :-)

Definitely NOT for the faint of heart... when my internal micro SD card snapped in half (during the removal process), my heart sank

I broke my first NGX during this process. The glue was so strong I ruined some of the connections. =/

well....since we can flash the system with firmware.....doesn't it seem logical to be able to flash the system with custom ROMs? Put all the big ones or your favorites (such as SvC) on the internal storage??

I tried. I couldn't even get them swapped with unibios versions (I was able to on firmware 337/370 easily).

No, this thread is about having all the Neo games on the INTERNAL micro SD that is only on the 337 motherboards, not about the ease of jailbreaking any NGX and using the EXTERNAL sd card slot for Neo-Geo games that are now broken due to the jokebreak's horrible emulation.

must be summat wrong with your system then cause all the neo geo games i have on card work flawlessly, no screen tear, bad sound like your quoting.
i dont care for opening the system up when i can shove an sd card in slot and happily play the games. no emulation is perfect and never will be for any system, you can never emulate hardware perfectly. the emulation is in its infancy on this system ill expect there`ll be improvements.
emulating older systems even on pc took years for it to be any where near decent.what do you expect perfect examples.
should imagine alot of people wont even have a 337 neo x.i for one dont, good saved me hassle of actually opening it up,which id rather not do.

Wow. You must be the only person here NOT having problems with the Neo-Geo emulation on the jailbreak firmware (and I'm not talking about screen tearing and never claimed that the sound was bad). What I am saying is that the Neo-Geo emulation was working great on 337 and 370, and after jailbreaking there are slowdown/frameskip problems (which every single member here- except you -has experienced- then again you did say that you haven't even tried any of the fighting games -try them, as they are the larger games that are plagued with these problems). Regardless, you are posting in the wrong thread if you want to talk about how great your jailbreak firmware is working.
