I agree. Although I've never played it on GBA, I have the PS1 version. It's my favorite fighting game for the PS1.

I decided to get a NGPC and I just got it in the mail today. I originally wanted a silver NGPC but the blue one was less expensive, so that's what I ordered. I see the box says "blue", I open it and was pleasantly surprised with a silver NGPC. It's a brand new sealed box too. I guess whoever boxed them mixed some up. I'm very happy with this fortunate mistake. hehe. I just have to wait for my games now.

I finally got the games for my NGPC. It's my first time ever playing it. I got 7 games to start my collection. SNK vs. Capcom is awesome. The other games I got are Metal Slug, KoF, Dark Arms, Samurai Shodown, and the 2 Card Fighters. They all came in a lot.

Did you get the one with the top lit screen? I was thinking of getting another NGPC to top light it.

I got an unmodded one. I might get a NGP wormlight some time if I could find one. Right now though, I'm just interested in getting more games for it.

Neogenesis -
How are you liking your NGPC? I recently got into collecting it myself this year. I'm in love! I can't believe I never heard of it when it was current.

I'm glad I got one. I have 7 games for it at the moment, and I'm waiting for 7 more that I recently ordered. My favorite game for it so far is SNK vs. Capcom. It's amazing how fighting games can actually be awesome on a 2-button handheld. My only gripe with it is that the screen isn't backlit. Oh well, that does make the batteries last longer and I rarely play games in the dark anyway. haha.

I've been pondering about getting either a Neo Geo Pocket Color or a Gameboy Advance SP. Right now, I'm somewhat leaning towards the NGPC since its games seem to be easier to collect. I do have some concerns about its screen not being backlit. As for the GBA SP, I like the brighter screen and rechargeable battery. What do you guys think? Get the SP mate, the library of games is insane, as it plays GAMEBOY and GAMEBOY COLOR too, and NES and GAME GEAR if you get an EZF Flash Cart', see below: DOUBLE DRAGON (NES) WONDER BOY (GAME GEAR)

For me, it's NGPC over GBA SP anytime. I sold my NeoGeo Pocket back in the day for a Gameboy Advance and I sorely regretted it ever since.
For all the GBA's games - which WERE good, I missed the pure SNK goodness of the NGPC, it had an ineffable charm to it, plus it was a freakin pocket NeoGeo!!! Fatal Fury was great on it, as was Sonic, Pacman and all the usual SNK goodness, i.e. Metal Slug Missions 1 & 2, KOF R-2 etc. The ONLY gripe was the non-lit screen and SNK's failure to support it longer term - but that seems to be their flaw.
(I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that the NGX will one day play NGPC games.)

It's gonna be an NGPC for me, alrready have an sp and to be honest don't use it anymore.
Just out of interest where's the best place to buy an NGPC? is Ebay the best option or is there some nice online store that sells retro stuff I don't know about?

I got mine at amazon.com. If you want to get it new, it's cheaper there compared to ebay. Anyway, here's a picture of my NGPC and the games I have so far. I look forward to adding more soon.

I don't really like it much. It's hard to describe what kind of game it is. It's part RPG and something else. I'm still glad I have it in my collection though. It came in a lot.
