home.educities.edu.tw/fushiyun2000/Has anyone successfully been able to replicate this type of hack? You can apparently get Dingux running on the NGX which allows all sorts of emulation. I'm just a little too nervous to go hacking into my device with broken translations as my guide.

I've done them. The hardest part is removing the glued down micro SD card (from the 337 units). You end up losing all video out if you opt for the dingoo setup, but if you use this one: [http://home.educities.edu.tw/fushiyun2000/gameconsole_snk_neogeox_hack_improve_game_resolution.htm] you will get an HDMI output that rivals final burn running on a modded PS3 through HDMI output... no joke. You also get a 1:1 pixel ratio display setting replacing the default widescreen setting on the handheld. One thing I have noticed owning both a 337 and a 370 unit is that the picture quality is worse on the 370 from the start without any mods... if anyone owns a 337 unit your better off keeping it as is (or do the above mod) than bricking it and sending it in to Tommo, who will not let anyone update a 337 due to the fact that ppl could EASLILY remove the micro SD card after an update and look at the contents- allowing people to see what folder names have been changed or what exactly is stopping the SD card hacks. HDMI 1:1 ratio on handheld Whether ppl are having trouble updating 337 or 370 the fact remains that not a single person has been able to update a 337. Keep the 337s and watch how much they will be worth later on... these are now rare SNK variants. Don't send them back... worthless Tommo spent all this time working ONLY on the security for these to stop the SD card hacks, they don't care about any other issue. It took consumers efforts to fix the video out and Tommo still cannot match what Ack has done. If anyone has bricked their unit updating to the garbage 500 FW then they have nothing to lose by running the above mod on a clean 4 GB micro SD (this is how I did mine, you also get to use a faster card internally meaning that the emulator actually loads roms faster) instead of sending their 337 back to Tommo.

I'm gonna post a guide here tomorrow. The hardest part is removing the micro SD/glue from the internal board's micro SD socket.

If you have a guide that works, you should include a paypal link. If it works like you say, you'll be getting some of my Mega Pack refund. ^.~

I just don't like the way Tommo is operating. They want the 337s back, so they're just going to try to brick everyone's 337 NGX? F*ck that. Even if a 337 unit is bricked by Tommo's 500 update, the NGX can be recovered using this method. I really just wanna help ppl restore their units and give them another option instead of forcing ppl to send their bricked units back to Tommo.
