I bought a NGX with firmware 4.50 (not 3.70/500)
Who wrote this firmware? Why can't I save games? Is save game possible with 5.00? there are about 9 emulators on my neogeo, can I delete some of them, so they don't show up? why can't we change buttons in the emulators? why isn't there a PCE emulator? can we install linux/dingux on it?

Who wrote this firmware? Don't know, but the Neogeo is FBA. Why can't I save games? You should be able to save games with any version other than the original firmware Is save game possible with 5.00? Yes there are about 9 emulators on my neogeo, can I delete some of them, so they don't show up? I think you can delete the folders. why can't we change buttons in the emulators? Because they didn't build in an option why isn't there a PCE emulator? Who knows! can we install linux/dingux on it? I don't think so. David,
I absolutely love my NGX.
Have you purchased a game pack? That should allow you to update the firmware to a version that does let you save. The save function does not work in the same manner as say the nintendo virtual console, but rather simply replicates the original game save function (which of course in the early 90s was a little basic.
I still recall putting in some crazy 32 digit password on the SNES International Superstar Soccer!
