my brand new ngx is on its way. i've been reading this board about jailbreaking, but there seems to be so many methods and no one is mentioning anything in detail or it's not really in one place. very confused. the ngx tool from ufo looks like just a rocket stick and a modded microSD card adapter. there is NO INFO on the website about what's on the rocket stick or what files i need. i assume there's no instructions manual that comes with the shipment. 1. does the rocket stick contain OEM v500a or v345 jailbreak? 2. do i just plug into the handheld and attach the power cord to start the upgrade? 3. what happens after? can i just load roms onto the hacked SD card adapter and i'm good? 4. i'm obtaining roms from a final burn alpha set. i read i have to convert and rename them? how? what about other roms from different systems? 5. also file structures on the sd card itself? how does it have to be setup? 6. i have a hack_image_v0.3-45_800M.img and Win32DiskImager.exe also. do i still need a rocket stick or can i write the image to a hacked card adapter, upgrade handheld, format card, and then put roms on there? cheers for any info.

1. No, you need to write the hack_image_v0.3-45_800M.img to your SD-Card with the Win32DiskImager.exe (SD-Card must fromatted to Fat32)
2. Just plug your power cord in the rocket cable and connect it to your NGX (turned off) while pressing the "start" button. First it should flash rapidly blue then blinking red and blue.
3&5. Afer you flashed the hack_image_v0.3-45_800M.img to the console, you have to clear the SD-Card, put the sd_format_sample\ on it and rename the SD-Card to CARD_GAME. Then you simply put your roms in the corresponding folders. You can find the correct file extensions in the default.ini in the default folder (for example: Genesis: .smd, SNES: .sfc/.smc, GBA: .gba)
4. Some roms must be converted, for example with ConvertX Rom. Otherwise: google is your friend
6. you need the rocket cable

Also, the files needed to get this working were all from 3+ years ago. I think I have everything I need now. The xcard should be coming today. So excited!

everything seems to work like a charm. but is there a way to change difficulty levels? i have MVS roms loaded, can add credits via right shoulder button, but how do i change difficulty level? there's no menu like on the AES games that originally came with the ngx.

try to convert your rom.zip with ConvertX <clickable (UniBIOS already included) your NGX won't read the .fba file, just rename it to .mvs when the bios screen appears just press A+B+C together and enter the region settings, pick a location and change the game to console mode. A+B+C+D = memory card menu A+B+C+Start = cheats
