The Retron 5 like the X is not good quality on my HDTV. So using a HDMI2AV adapter converter, i am blown away.
The Retron 5 looks amazing on my CRT Tv, just like games should be played.
Sound is great too. Now different TV brands have different output results, but im happy.

How does NGX look on your CRT with your HDMI to AV converter?

Perfect, I'm well happy, just like playing on the console. Much better experience in my eyes and the best 7 gbp I spent on the adapter.

That's nice. Thinking of getting one of those and connect the NGX to my B&O MX4000 CRT using HDMI..

No need, just use composite out on the X. That's how I play on my CRT. Fantastic quality. It will be mint on your mx4000 using 500a or jailbreak firmware.

Legacy,
Sorry for the stupid question, but how do you get composite out from the NGX? When I look at the back of the X i only have 2 options - HDMI or AV.
Again, I am sure I am missing something obvious!

Oh great - that is what I am using :-)
I agree - using that in addition to playing around with the TV settings (colour, brightness etc) makes it look fantastic!
