New here and have a jailbreak question.

Hi,

Been searching for about 2 hours and I've found most info and downloaded all the software from a certain "space face" site.

I've just got a NGX today cheap from eBay. It had a swollen battery and reported as non working. Took out the batterr and snipped the wires and Boom! works fine in the dock and via phone charger. Just found and exact battery for it under a tenna (£10). Job done nice minty fresh NGX with upgraded battery!

Next is to get it jail broken however I'm a little confused...

The NGX is on FW 500a. Do I HAVE to buy a rocket cable to jailbreak this OR can I just mod an SD card?

You do still need a rocket cable, as it's the only way to install an update of any kind, be it firmware update, or Jailbreak.
