I’m owning a hardware jailbreak NeoGeoX and I’m concentrating on playing NeoGeo, CPS1, and CPS2 games. After testing all game files, I found the below games cannot be supported. Is there anyone who encounters the same problem? If you confirm yours is/are working, could you please kindly tell where your game file is downloaded? Thank you very much~
CPS1 System -Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting
CPS2 System -Super Street Fighter II Turbo -Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold -Hyper Street Fighter II The Anniversary Edition
NeoGeo -Gururin -The Last Blade 2 -Pochi & Nyaa -Power Instinct Matrimelee -Pulstar -Puzzle Bobble -Rage of the Dragons -Samurai Shodown V Special -Twinkle Star Sprites -Viewpoint

I've had really fiddly luck with CPS games, so I just gave up on the idea. Now as for the Neo games, I got all mine from a torrent, and got pretty much all of them working! Excluding Gururin, TSS, and Viewpoint.
EDIT: The source I got the torrent from doesn't exit anymore, it seems. Sorry!

Thank you danthor, then are you using A380 converter to change NeoGeo zip files to mvs format? If not, is there another converter? Thanks again~

I used FBACache to convert my NeoGeo.zip files first to .fba format (That's what was used in the original firmware) Once converted there, all I did was change the file extension from .fba to either .aes or .mvs and that's it. Some games I've found will only work in one format or the other, the Last Blade coming to mind. When I was renaming their extensions, they didn't work at first. Renamed em again, and they ran fine afterwards.

All CPS 1+2 games work fine, took me ages to find working roms sets. Just keep searching.

Thank you danthor~ I follow your advice to rename some ROM files to extension “aes”. Some are loading opening scene fine. However, there’s no response to “insert coin” whatever I press the buttons…do you have idea?

Depends on the game. In most cases, You can hit a button (it was select, I think now it's one of the shoulder buttons using the Jailbreak, L2 perhaps? Been awhile since I fired the X up) and that'll let you put as many coins as you want/need in. It's still a shoulder button if you're using the dock, too. On the original firmware, that was bound to 'Select' so it was a bit more convenient, so remember that if you're using the dock to play that you put some credits in before you close the dock and play.
Other very specific titles just won't work regardless, case in point being The Irritating Maze.

None of the Mahjong games will coin up either.

Has anyone had any problems saving gameson the SNES emulator - Secret of Mana or Shadowrun? Has anyone been using the SNES and other emulator save functionality without any issues?

Hi rob7979, I’ve tried the SNES emulator a while and it could save the game progress. When I check the memory card content via PC, it has a game save file created in ROM directory. Please try some more games to prove it.

To danthor, thank you for your help again. Anyway, I don’t play it by using dock indeed. I believe the root cause is because the ROM is MAME based, not Neogeo based. Is there a difference on key mapping?

To crujones4life,
Yes, definitely. You can refer to top post that I only listed out which NeoGeo games are not working. The rests are working fine.
