So it turns out earlier uk handhelds from funstock have 370 firmwares with the onboard 2gb internal card.
My first one i bought at launch. Upgraded to 500 and the jailbreak no probs and has a 2gb internal card.
My recent one has the chip.

These must be units that were in transition while updating from 337 to 370 firmware before they switched to the final (370) boards. The biggest clue that you have one of these special boards is that your unit will have silver screws instead of black (anyone who's unit has silver screws likely has the 337 motherboard even if their NGX's firmware is 370). If anyone can get an image dumped of the 370 firmware that is on one of these transition units it would be much appreciated (it would be a good idea for firmware archival purposes as at some point we should be able to flash any firmware we want). The way to dump the firmware from these units is to simply remove the internal micro SD card, insert it into a computer, then use the image writer program that came bundled with the jailbreak to DUMP the image (I would love to overwrite my 337s with 370 firmware).

If only i knew this earlier. I would have kept the default 370 firmware before upgrading to jailbreak.
Im sure someone out there will have all the stock images.
