Yeah, its a slow progress bar... it might take a minute to start. My slow computer took 30-60 minutes to fully flash... you might get quicker results but it definitely didn't work if it just jumped directly to 100%. Its about a 2 GB image so if its been a few minutes and you actually saw a percentage climb to 100% then I'd say its done.

Excellent. I cleaned off some glue remnants and retaped the SD card and now it is flashing! Keep us updated, I'm following your attempt with interest, now Tommo has confirmed it won't honor warranties for people (like me) whom imported the NGX from the states, this is my only option.

I believe I used "Ext2 IFS" For Windows in order to browse the micro SD card on a PC after flashing... then you can see the game folder and re-inject (drag and drop) your 20 built in ROMs.

Well, it seems that I was mistaken. I definitely think I injured something on the PCB or one of the SD connectors while removing the original SD card. I can't get the new SD Card to flash and I tried to reassemble the device with the 2GB card, and it won' boot either.
That or I can't seem to get the SD connectors to line up. Whatever it is, I have an issue.

Copy and paste the link, but remove the last four letters "link" from it.

Hope you can get it to work. Also, hope I didn't damage the pcb or sd connectors either. I ended up tearing the 2gb sd in half and struggled to get the remaining piece out which ended up coming out in pieces. Everything else about taking it apart seemed to go smooth, besides almost losing springs, but getting out the damn glued card is a pain.

Yeah, it was significantly more difficult than I imagined it would be.

I should be getting my 4gb micro sd card today so I hope the guide to putting the games back on after flashing will be posted soon. Really hope it will still read the micro sd.

In order to put the stock 20 ROMs back on the internal SD, you need a program called "Ext2 IFS". This will allow a Windows PC to browse the folder structure on the newly flashed 4GB card. Simply drag and drop the games back into the games dir.
The game titles are as follows: (for example the first game on the internal should be named whp.fba)
game1 = World Heroes Perfect = whp.fba game2 = 3 Count Bount = 3countb.fba game3 = Real Bout = rbffspec.fba game4 = Puzzled = puzzled.fba game5 = Nam-1975 = nam1975.fba game6 = Mutation Nation = mutnat.fba game7 = Last Resort = lresort.fba game8 = King of the Monsters = kotm.fba game9 = Alpha Mission II = alpham2.fba game10 = Cyber-Lip = cyberlip.fba game11 = Fatal Fury Special = fatfursp.fba game12 = Art of Fighting = aof.fba game13 = Super Sidekicks = ssideki.fba game14 = League Bowling = lbowling.fba game15 = Metal Slug = mslug.fba game16 = Magicial Lord = maglord.fba game17 = Baseball Stars 2 = bstars2.fba game18 = Samurai Shodown II = samsho2.fba game19 = King of Fighters 95 = kof95.fba game20 = Fatal Fury = fatfury1.fba
Inject unibios with the same convertX tool used for making ROMs on the external card.

I'm having trouble getting mine to flash. Either goes right to 100% or stays on 0%

Can other titles be used instead of the stock 20?

- Start USBbootTool.exe - With the ngx powered off, press and hold the start button and plug the NGX back into your computer again Choose the modified firmware image file for uboot.bin then click the checkbox on the left of uboot.bin. This will write it out to the internal misro SD card of the NGX. The progress bar is at the bottom, be patient as this takes about an hour to flash! I think I'm following the directions correctly, but I'm not sure the software is actually doing anything. Is the X supposed to react in any way? Perhaps I installed the driver incorrectly? Is anything on the right side of the screen supposed to be checked? Does anyone have a screenshot of this?

The X Shows up as an Ingenic Semiconductor when plugged in? Is that the correct driver?
