Those looking to get into REAL Neo-Geo action need look no further... the CMVSX will soon be here. A CMVS that looks like a mini AES, what could be cooler? How about opening the lid to configure the dip switches? The menu button will bring you to the test menu of the MVS board. The price will be $399 +S&H, now taking pre-orders. PM me if interested. Here is a sneak preview:

Wow! You have mad modding skills no doubt! What does it have for video out? Unibios support? Memory card support? Does it need a new power supply?

I have the exact same questions! Any odds you can post shots of it powered on with a display?

This is what the NGX should have been. Top notch work here.

For the $399 (+S&H) price, you get the basic composite out, stock BIOS with coin(s) mapped to the controller's select buttons & test menu mapped to the menu button. For the additional price of the components needed and the cost of labor, any other option (available on CMVS) could be added (unibios/biosmasta, component/VGA output etc) to this CMVS. So far the "lid open" function of the original dock is still present, meaning that you could easily open the unit up for service or upgrades at any time! AV cables and power adapter inluded with CMVS. Takes any 15 pin official Neo-Geo AES/CD controllers (No controllers included).

is it a socketed BIOS? if so, its so easy to update the BIOS to UNI-BIOS by the end user (or you could do it for a premium).....if I had the money, i'd order all 10 of 'em LOL....

The BIOS is soldered, so you would have to use a BIOSmasta in order to get UNIBIOS. I have decided to not make any more of these (besides the unit pictured here) as it was waaay too much work for the price (the cartridge slot alone took 4 hours to shape). This one here is still available on my site if anyone is interested.

If I were to provide the MVS, I assume any 1 Slot, how much would you be charging then, or is that not an option?

Nice. This looks really cool! As someone said above, this is what the NGX should have been.

How is it higher grade when the video quality is inferior to other CMVS units out there. Compare them, you'll see.
