So an odd find have have uncovered - we all know that when you plug your NGX directly into a PC it allows you to examine the contents of the folders (I think OMG discovered this).
There are two folders, one holds the ROMs, the other is a file named'copyfile'. On firmware 500 ROMs are copiedinto this folder to enable rapid access. On the jailhack this feature is for some reason removed i.e. the NGX access' ROMs directly from the SD Card.
When I use firmware 500 the NGX is no longer deleting previously used ROMs fromthe copy game folder and it is therefore becoming full and I believe it could be this that is causing it to crash. If anyone has a working NGXwith firmware 500/37 perhaps they could check that their copy game folderonly ever contains a single ROM to clear up this point.
Basically I canplay ROMs but after each game have to manually plug in my NGX into the PC to delete the ROM from the copy game folder.
On the jailbreak, any games that require further access to the SD card (think marvel vs capcom Garou etc) then at the point further access is required then my system crashes - a classic example is on MvC when you tag in/out where the new fighter has to be accessed/loaded which immediately causes my NGX to crash.
The other odd thing that has happened is that ROMs on the megacard now typically take 25 seconds to load (depending on the game size) whereas previously this was more like 10 seconds causing me to believe that something has happened to the hardware meaning it can no longer access data as rapidly. This would also explain why under the jailbreak when games need to access the sd card it cannot do so as quickly as it used to and thereby causing the game to crash.
