I have world heros perfect, but none of the others. I was thinking of picking up the 1st World Heros game as I do have a soft spot. World Heros is a good example of a nice looking game on the NGCD (it made fantastic use of the colour palette). The loading times are also very good (and remember I only have the basic NGCD).
Spine cards - funny what people will pay for isn't it! Then again you can take advantage by paying lower prices if you are willing to for go them, so great for the likes of you and I.
I normally buy my cd games from Genki Games - they guy who runs it is very friendly and reliable and many games not listed on his website he can source from Japan for you on request. Same goes for hardware.
I should add that I got the 2nd generation joystick (which is smaller than the AES one) which IMO is much better than the pad. It is also a fantastic size and feels great (very industrial and satisfying). Can't beat made in Japan for quality eh?
Keep us updated if you decide to go for it in the end.

Nice! I got into the World Heroes series during the Street Fighter II craze. It was a nice alternative to Street Fighter. It's an underrated series in my mind. Most people just write it off as a SF clone but it also had some original stuff like the Death Matches, and the characters were interesting too.

I agree, it is different enough from SF2 to be of interest. Of course back then the concept of one on one fighting games was more novel in any case.
You have inspired me to getting round to buying the additional games on CD.
BTW, if you do buy a CD system I'd go for the CDZ. I have the standard top loader but maybe one day I'll pick up a cdz as well. It is a great system and I guarantee you will not regret it!

I would want a CDZ if I can get it for the right price. I actually almost got one in an ebay auction about a few weeks ago. I just got outbid by one bid.
Speaking of SF clones, another one that I like is Karnov's Revenge (a.k.a. Fighter's History Dynamite). It's more of a blatant ripoff of Street Fighter II, but I guess that's why I like it. haha.

I own a NEOGEO CD Top louder, and I am very pleased with the system. When I was shopping for the system, I kept in mind about the CD/CDZ ups and downs, and stuck to the top louder sins the load times between the systems are only 20 to 30 sec difference. I always tell people this, the NGCD is made for introducing people to the world of NEOGEO. That said, only get the system knowing that you can only play the very core NEOGEO games. Next, the system has really good S video, and outstanding RGB. You wont be disappointment with your purchase with the NGCD. Side note, Smokemonster made some MVS to CD game conversions that work really great. It really helps exspand your NGCD liberty. =)
