Little late I admit but better late than never! I still haven't modded my NGX (even though the tools are sitting here unused) and I may never do so, but as a completist I had to eventually pick up a mega pack. Looking forwards to receiving it

I'm surprised you never had the Mega Pack. I've never modded my NGX either and I don't think I will. I'm quite happy with my 20 games and the 15 that come in the Mega Pack. Blazing Star is probably my favorite game in the pack. It also has infinite continues, so that helps. haha.

I've had a modded sd card since day one (almost) so I had all the games I wanted. I'll have a to think about what I'm going to do regarding updating or modding etc but it's still nice package to have.

Ah, that's cool. I've always wanted to use a modded SD card with my v500. Still hoping that it will be possible some day. I wanna play Burning Fight, Neo Turf Masters, and all the other good stuff on my NGX.

So I upgraded my firmware today to 500a (worked second try) just seemed the right thing to do for me, so no more yarr. Does anyone understand when I say I like the fact I'm limited to 36 games or is that crazy? Haven't hooked it up to the TV yet so I can't comment on the improved output but I'm looking forwards to trying it out when I have the time.

I completely understand. Sometimes having less choice can be a good thing. I often find myself like a kid in a candy store flitting between games and never actually settling on one.
When I had the 36 I got really into Kizuna Encounter (which is a fantastic game) - something I'd probably never have been able to with immediate access to pretty much the entire library.
Hopefully over time I'll be able to enjoy each game more fully in turn. Something to look forward to in future.
