Thanks crujones4life, I feel the X didn't get a fair shake. 35 games and they're done supporting it... grey area romz aside, at least NGX owners can get the very most out of this system by being able to access more than 35 games. So much untapped potential still locked away in this system... I really hope that SOMEONE can get some more/improved emulators working for this puppy.

I have contacted the email address twice from the webpage.

Hi, Just had a few questions (A) is the NGX gigapack still in stock
(B) will the ultrapack card with all the Neo Geo games work on 500a firmware without being jail broken, or does it only work on firmware 337. Ideally, I'd like to be able to use the ultrapack on 500a without jail breaking.
(C) in the event that I have to jailbreak, how easy/safe is the jail breaking process?
(D) after I make an order, how long would it take to ship?

Sorry, I have been MIA for a while now... I have confirmed that you received your order (back in sept). Apologies for the wait.

(D) after I make an order, how long would it take to ship? A) No, not anymore B) No, unfortunately jailbreaking is necessary C) Jailbreaking is as safe as updating with an official update D) As of this post, less than 30 days (I know it's a long wait, were trying to keep up/catch up with demand and its getting harder to get the official cards needed to build the UltraCard - many retailers are limiting how many NGX cards I can purchase at a time meaning that I have to make several separate orders in order to get a hold of enough supply)

So if I get the UltraPack bundle and all I have to do is jailbreak the machine with the cable and I can pop the card with all the games on it and play it with no trouble?

Once it's jailbroken, is there any way to get the immortal SNK fighting game BURIKI ONE on it?

OK, last annoying questions, I promise.
The UltraPack has every NeoGeo game on it (besides the couple of exceptions mentioned) plus all the Capcom CPS1 and 2 games on it, right? I also saw on YouTube that a jailbroken NGX can handle NES, SNES, Genesis, and PS1. Is that accurate?

Yes, but it's kind of spotty, in my experience. The SNES emulation is great, but the buttons are mapped backwards, with no way to change them (that I know). Genesis was great, NES had sound problems, and PS1...the less said, the better. GBA games either ran fine, or a stuttering mess, seemed to vary from game to game. Honestly, if you're looking for a multi system emulator that's reliable, you're better off with a PSP, and just using this for Neo. But that's just my 0.02$
If anyone else has had any differing accounts, I'd love to hear some examples!

Yeah, I agree. The NGX runs the Neo-Geo and Capcom games best, I wouldn't bother with the rest of the emulators. They're just not as polished as the Neo and Cap emus.

It's a shame it (presumably) doesn't run CPS3, because it would be amazing to play WARZARD at home. SF3 and JoJo are just gravy

The hardware is definitely capable, heck the 700mhz Xbox was able to pull off a decent CPS3 emulator... the NGX's CPU is 1ghz, so it's more than possible. Hopefully some talented programmers will adopt this poor system and give it a brighter future.
